Nashik Industries & Manufacturers' Association popularly known as NIMA has been in the service of the industry for almost four decades. NIMA was established on 24th January in the year 1971 by (Late) Padmashri Babubhai Rathi. From a very small organization, it has grown as the main representative body of all industries in this district, with members consisting of Large, Medium & Small Scale Category Units and Associate Members.
As a result of its multifarious activities the association has earned a repute for its initiative, foresight and pioneering activity in the region. It is now recognized as one of the most prominent industrial associations in the state. Its views are considered while formulating schemes related to industries/industrial areas of Nashik District.
NIMA takes up matters of interest with the Government Agencies at State and District levels and champions the cause of industrial development in the District. In addition, it represents in many Advisory and Consultative Committees at the District/Regional/State Levels and Professional Bodies playing a leading role in policy formulation and grievances redressal for the industries. NIMA has an excellent track record of solving number of industries-related problems and supporting the development and growth of industries in Nashik District.
The Association serves for the growth and prosperity of industries and it has made a significant contribution towards building a strong and stable industrial city of Nashik. The Association/ besides functioning as a grievance redressal unit is functioning as a development oriented Association conducting series of Seminars/ Training Programmes/ Study tours/ Exhibitions/Industrial visits etc. so as to develop and create awareness among local entrepreneurs. In short NIMA has dedicated itself to the cause of industries and has made a mark at the District/ State and National levels by its selfless service to the industries in a variety of ways.
